How to remove SID

You are in the process of capturing and install windows with all the pre-installed software. To start with you need to remove your systems security identifier. Here is how you can remove SID (Security Identifier) of a PC:


Step 1. First open windows explorer. Step 2. Go to windows drive and go to windows folder. Step 3. Go to System 32 folder Step 4. Then go to "SysPrep" folder Step 5. Double click to run Sysprep.exe (A window will pop up) Step 6. Click on check box to enable "Generalization" Click Next > Finish. Let the PC reboot. Your machine will be ready without SID for taking backup of your windows operating system. You may also read:
